Program Info

Bridge City Soccer Academy offers a variety of programs to fit the needs of our players and families. The graphic below indicates several differences between our Swift and Bridge City squads, as well as our Open Academy and SOAR program. We also offer a summer program for players getting ready to compete in college or who are looking for a team to play with during the summer. Brief summaries can be found for each program below the graphic, as well as links to their official program pages.

SWIFTS: U8 - U10
The goal of the Swifts program is to prepare young players with the technical soccer skills, as well as leadership skills, to succeed in whatever pathway they take through sport and life. For players who aspire to elite programs like the DA, the Swifts program and the Academy will help prepare them for that level of competition. Other players may choose to continue on to Bridge City Squads and high school teams. Our highest objective is to help guide players and their families through their journey–in whichever way is best for them. Joining a Swift squad requires the individual to become a BCSA member.

Bridge City Squads are for players who wish to continue to play competitive soccer at a high level as they progress into their high school years. Players who move on to DA or ECNL programs can continue to participate in the Academy and Leadership training. Joining a Bridge City squad requires the individual to become a BCSA member.

SOAR: All-Ages
As our leadership and mentoring program, SOAR monthly workshops will provide knowledge and skills to participants to empower them for their futures. Topics will include positive body image, nutrition, psychological resilience, conflict resolution, injury prevention and recovery, college preparation, and more. Our goal is to impart life skills, and develop young girls into brave, thoughtful leaders. This program is open to all players of any age and all club affiliations.

COLLEGE SUMMER PROGRAM: Senior-level (collegiate) players, or players of commensurate ability
Our collegiate summer players will be integral in setting and showing a standard for training to our Swifts and Bridge City Squads at overlapping Academy sessions; these players can serve as mentors to our younger players, and are expected to participate in leadership and community impact programs with our younger players. Players who participate in the program will be able to train as a group twice a week with games/scrimmages held on Saturdays. This program is open to all players of any club affiliations.
