PORTLAND, Ore. --- BCSA GA 04 Black players Gwendolyn Saing, Leila Hausia-Haugen, and Apex Futbol Club’s Lexi Fritz signed their national letters of intent to continue on with their soccer careers at Pacific University, Puget Sound, and Linfield University, respectively.

Saing and Hausia-Haugen are in their third year with Bridge City, with Saing being a consistent starter in the midfield, and Hausia Haugen in forward. “I’m so proud of Gwennie and Leila,” said head coach Melanie Langley. “They are just amazing young ladies with huge futures ahead of them. Pacific and UPS are getting hard working players who love the game of soccer, work hard, and continuously want to get better. Off the field they are the kind of girls you want you kids to grow up to be like. I can’t wait to watch their journeys at the next level.”

Fritz is a discovery player who joined our GA 04 team from Apex Futbol Club. BCSA Director of goalkeeping noted, “It’s hard not to be impressed by Lexi. In the short time I’ve worked with her, her desire to improve with every rep and compete for every shot shines through. Her infectious smile after a great save is what the game is all about: great joy in a job well done. Linfield is lucky to have her as part of their program.”

All three players will join their respective D3 colleges in the 2022 season.
